Rebecca S. Christensen

Rebecca Christensen is an associate with the firm. Born in Stillwater, Minnesota on January 29, 1974. Admitted to Bar 2007, Minnesota; 2008, U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota, U.S. District Court, District of Western Wisconsin, U.S. Tax Court. Education: University of St. Thomas (B.A. 2004 cum laude); William Mitchell School of Law (J.D. 2007). Member of Minnesota State Bar Association and its Bankruptcy Section, the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.

Rebecca Christensen was a tax preparer prior to becoming a lawyer. She has applied that knowledge base to her law practice which includes preparation of tax returns, defense of clients in tax audits and working with clients to become compliant with the state and federal taxing authorities to avoid aggressive collection and prosecution. Rebecca has integrated that tax law knowledge into developing a busy consumer bankruptcy practice as well.  She assists clients with personal and business bankruptcies and has litigated several bankruptcy case issues, from the straightforward to the highly complex.  As one of the firm's prosecuting City Attorneys, she has a working knowledge of the criminal court system along with her familiarity with the civil court structure and has been able to put that knowledge to use in all areas of her practice.  Rebecca accepts clients within the state and federal jurisdictions of Minnesota and within the jurisdiction of the Western District of Wisconsin. She lives with her husband and three young daughters in New Prague, MN.
