Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice,
& Wrongful Death
"No-Fault" benefits provide
up to $20,000 in medical expenses
and $20,000 in wage and income
losses (or replacement services
if you are a homemaker). Those
benefits are payable regardless
of who is at fault in the accident. In addition,
each vehicle in Minnesota
is required to carry a minimum
of liability insurance, to pay
for damages caused by the driver’s negligence.
If the vehicle lacks insurance
or lacks adequate insurance, your
own policy or that of a host driver
may provide uninsured or underinsured
motorists benefits.
Personal injuries can also occur on commercial premises, while visiting
another home, and while in the
care of a health care provider.
Our attorneys
can assist you in determining:
• What insurance benefits am I entitled to?
• How do I document my injuries?
• How long do I have to bring a claim?
Examples of cases handled by Grannis & Hauge:
A
24 year old woman suffered catastrophic injuries when a panel
truck drove through a red light and hit her car on the driver’s
side. A settlement with a present value in excess of $5.75 million
enabled her parents to remodel their home and add a handicapped
accessible apartment, move her out of a long-term facility and
into the apartment, and employ round-the-clock health care providers.
A baby developed cerebral palsy as a result of oxygen deprivation
when a C-section was too long delayed. A settlement will pay
damages over the life of the child to provide for a handicapped-accessible
home, van, full medical coverage, and a variety of special medical
and educational services for the child and her family.
A 19 year old man suffered damage to his sciatic nerve, when
pain medication was improperly injected during an emergency
room visit. A permanent limp resulted. The case was settled
by mediation.
A young wife and mother died after emergency room personnel
failed to diagnose a bacterial infection.
A young woman developed Hepatitis
C from contaminated Gamma Globulin, prescribed to combat chronic
and severe asthma.
